What Have We Been Up To In School?

Nursery
This week we have been looking at space. We have been doing some good listening and have enjoyed playing the noisy game!

Reception
We have really enjoyed making paper aeroplanes. We have made our own games including making number targets and seeing whose plane can fly the furthest.

Year 1
This week we have started to read and perform poems all about 'yummy' food. We had to put our hands in flour, mud and oats and talk about what it felt like.

Year 2
We have begun to look at the author Mairi Hedderwick. We have read lots of stories about Katie Morag. We have written letters to her and role-played one of the stories.

Year 3
This week we have been looking at temperature. We have measured it every day and have put our results in a table. Then we made up some questions to ask about our results.

Year 4
This week Year 4 have been investigating weight and the relationship between grams and kilograms. We have also learnt how many foods get exported from Kenya to Britain.

Year 5
This week Year 5 have been reading lots of stories from other cultures. We have also been looking at probability in maths.

Year 6
Year 6 have been on a very successful trip to the Transport Museum. We enjoyed learning about the different decades and looking at the changes in transport.
